Full-Time | In-Office | Sales-Dominant Position

Prospect. Close. Produce. Grow.

Monica Kaplan State Farm is seeking a competitive, motivated Insurance Sales Representative to join our Mill Creek agency as a Business Development Representative.

This is a highly sales-dominant opportunity for someone who enjoys generating leads, prospecting, overcoming objections, and closing new business. We're looking for a confident, goal-oriented professional who takes ownership of results and consistently pursues opportunities to grow the agency.

While some light customer service responsibilities are part of the position, your primary focus will be new business production, building a strong sales pipeline, and achieving established sales goals.

Licensing Requirements

  • Property & Casualty license must be obtained before your first day with the agency.

  • Life & Health licenses are required and must be obtained within the agency's established timeframe after your start date.

  • We provide full licensing guidance, study resources, and support throughout the process.

  • Already licensed candidates are encouraged to apply.

What You'll Do

  • Generate new business through outbound calls, warm and cold leads, referrals, and proactive prospecting.

  • Quote, present, and close Auto, Home, Renters, Life, and other available insurance products, as appropriately licensed.

  • Conduct needs-based sales conversations to identify coverage gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.

  • Build and manage an active pipeline of prospective customers.

  • Handle objections, communicate value, and confidently ask for the sale.

  • Follow up consistently to convert leads and quotes into new policies.

  • Identify cross-selling opportunities to expand customer relationships.

  • Track sales activity, applications, conversions, and progress toward production goals.

  • Assist with occasional policy questions, account updates, and other light service needs.

  • Collaborate with the agency team to support customer satisfaction and continued business growth.

What We're Looking For

  • Competitive, sales-driven mindset with a strong desire to achieve and exceed goals.

  • Confidence making outbound calls, prospecting, and closing business.

  • Strong communication, persuasion, listening, and relationship-building skills.

  • Persistence, accountability, organization, and disciplined follow-through.

  • Ability to balance a strong sales focus with occasional customer service responsibilities.

  • Coachability and willingness to apply sales training and feedback.

  • Previous sales, insurance, financial services, or business development experience preferred.

  • Ability to meet licensing requirements and work in-office in Mill Creek.

Why Join Monica Kaplan State Farm?

  • Sales-focused opportunity centered on new business production.

  • Full support throughout the insurance licensing process.

  • Ongoing sales coaching, product training, and professional development.

  • Opportunity to strengthen prospecting, objection handling, and closing skills.
